The School of Visual & Performing Arts, Digital Skills and Foundation Learning is a vibrant and inclusive department committed to enabling all students to succeed. Our Foundation Learning provision fosters creativity, offering pathways in Performing Arts, Art, Design and Media, and Supported Internships, with a strong focus on developing employability and independent living skills.
We are seeking a motivated individual with experience and a genuine passion for supporting young people with a wide range of SEND needs, particularly within a supported internship setting. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of how to support learners with high needs in the workplace, including job coaching techniques, and be able to help them develop the skills, confidence and independence required for sustainable employment.
As a Job Coach, you will work closely with students in real work environments, supporting them to access and maintain meaningful placements. You will liaise effectively with employers, colleagues, families and external partners to ensure each learner receives tailored support, enabling them to achieve positive outcomes and successfully transition into employment and greater independence.

Salary: Job Family group 5, SCP16 £27,387 to SCP 20 £29,052 (pro rata for part time) per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
Hours: 1.0FTE, 37 hours per week
